Nokia looks around he yawn and streach and looks around his lands he checks his lion pride he goes out and search for his female to help me with my pride he goes to a watering hole and he lefts his head down and drinks from it

Goes over to Kukia. "Hello."

Noka he looks arond as he drinking water from the watering hole and he spot a female lioness and he get up he walks over to her saying hello there

Roi stormed with rage as he wandered in shame out of his home land. He had just been defeated by a rival male who stole his territory and females. He roared, hoping to make all the creatures around him tremble in fear. He was not in a good mood.

Hears a distant roar and turns her head, but turns back to the male in front of her. "Hello. I'm Tamu, who are you?"

Roi roared again and again. He was starving. Female lions could hunt much better than he could because his large mane always stuck out, and he had no pride. He was too proud to make an alliance with another male to start another pride. He survived by stealing carcasses from cheetahs and leopards and weaker lions, but he couldn't go on like this forever. He needed a pride and he needed it now. After wandering for nearly a week, he came upon a young male who had three females. Roi wasn't in the best shape, but he was pretty sure he could take on this young rival. He fought the other male for his pride.

Roi won. He killed the other male, but at a cost. The other male swiped his paw at Roi's left eye and left a long, white scar down his face. Now Roi had three lionesses with him. Malkia, the lead female and now Roi's main mate, (middle); Kati, (left) the youngest female and very playful; and Kuwinda (right) the best huntress of the three.


Now he just needed a territory....

Waits for the male to say something.

Roi led his females, Malkia, Kuwinda, and Kati, down a dry river bed toward a lake. Right away, he had gotten busy with the females. Malkia and Kati were both pregnant, and Kuwinda was working very hard to feed the pride almost single handedly. Now Roi had to find a territory, and fast, before the cubs were born. They should have the best chance, and having a safe territory would give them that.

Loses interest in the white male and goes off on her own in search of food and perhaps a mate.

Kati, Malkia, and Kuwinda follwed Roi to the lake. There were all kinds of animals there, drinking or eating something that had come to drink. This is nice... thought Roi. He definitely wanted his territory to be somewhere around here. He saw a couple male lions, but they were mostly just 2 year olds who didn't have a pride. He could deal with them easily. The only real threat was a white male, but Roi didn't think he would get too much trouble from him. He let the females rest in the shade for a while. Malkia was having trouble keeping up. Her cubs would be born soon and Kati's wouldn't be far behind. Lately there had been some fights in Roi's pride. Malkia was the established lead female, but as she grew weaker Kuwinda had made a couple tries to take her place.

Roi mostly ignored them except for when they were in danger or when he needed to break up a particularly violent fight. After a while, a young lioness walks up to them. He growled very low, to show that he wouldn't tolerate any threatening actions. Then he just sat and waited to see what she would do.

Shows submisivness, hoping the male will not kill her.

Roi looks down at her, and for a moment just looks her over. Then with a yawn he turns back to his females. He has decided she's not a threat and not to kill her.

Decides to stick around with this pride. Maybe they will accept her later, but for now she will just shadow them.

Roi goes in the shade and falls asleep pretty fast between Kati and Kuwinda, but Malkia goes up to Tamu and sniffs her, growling loudly and making it quite clear who the female boss is.

Is submissive to Malkia and stays a good distance from the pride.

Roi's pride ignores Tamu for a while. They have more important things to do. For once, Roi actually let Malkia lead. She would choose the best territory for cub raising. When she had finally decided, she had chosen an area with very tall grass and shady trees. It was full of good hiding places.

Roi agreed with her, and now the Roi pride had a home.

Sees that the pride has chosen a homeland and marks the boundaries in her mental map. Wonders if they will send her away

The next day, Malkia's cubs were born. They were a few weeks early and small. Normally the female would leave the pride to have her cubs, but since they came unexpectedly she didn't bother to leave. Kati and Kuwinda helped Malkia with her new cubs while Roi just paced around, guarding, marking, and taking a snap at some antelope.

Hears the other roar. Wonders if she should go to it, or if she should stay with the other pride.

Roi hears it as well. He and the females dont like it.

Decides to stay with the pride. Sees some antelope and sneaks up on a small one. Kills it quickly and drags it to the boundary of the pride's territory. Waits to see if any will come. This is the big one.
