Pack role play

"Nothing's happening! LEAVE ME ALONE!" Hadn't really planned to hurt her, but when Poppy said Tala's name, something in him snapped. He lunged at her so fast and unexpectedly that he made a good, clean gash across her back. He relized what he had done and stared in horror at Poppy, then ran back to his den with his tail between his legs.

Poppy laid there for a long time. Finally she had the sstrength to get some food and wash her wound. She was not ony hurt physiaclly, but she was also hurt on the inside. She hadn't meant to make Chast angry. She only wanted to know if something bad was happening. She decided that it would be best to leave him alone for now.

Inside his den, he first whimpers, then growls, then moans, then laughs. He was going nuts. "You crazy! You nut ball! You useless excuse for a wolf! If you had a chance before, you blew it! Now you have nothing! No family, no pack, all you have left is Tala." Tala... That was all he had left. He ran out his den and up to the mountains, looking back over his shoulder a few times. He was certain these were his last moments that he was welcome here.

When she was up to it, she decided that it might be good idea to let Chast know he was still welcome in the pack. She killed a rabbit and first went to his den. She didn't see him and started sniffing around. His scent was strong. He was here recently. She set off, following his trail.

A few tears form as he runs up the mountain, but by the time he sees Tala standing there and smiling, they have disappeared. He nuzzled her lovingly and took in the smell of her fur and the sound of her breathing.
"Chast, what are you doing here? I thought you weren't coming for a while."
"I know. Things didn't go so well. I'm going to be staying here, with you."
Tala looked both happy and sad. She was happy to have him with her, but without a pack to help them, they would have much more difficulty getting food and a safe home for their pups.

Continues up the mountain, still on Chast's trail.

Stops nuzzling Tala, perks his ears. "Someone's coming... Get in the cave Tala!"
Stands outside. He is prepared to kill whoever comes out of the forest.

Steps out of the forest. "There you are! Erm... what are you doing here?

"I guess I went a little nuts." Lowers himself, rolls over onto his back, "I'm sorry for hurting you, I just kind of lost it."

"When you don't answer my questions, I tend to think you are hiding something. I'll ask again. What are you doing here?"

"Like I said, I went a little nuts. I needed a place to get away. I didn't really notice where I was going."

"I see. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know there are no hard feelings." The wind blows up a scent. "Tala's been here. Recently. Very recently."

"I don't smell anything..."

"Her scent goes right into this cave..." Goes in the cave. "Tala!" Looks at Chast. "You knew she was here."

Tala crawls forward on her belly, whimpering. I sigh and walk over to her. "It's no use Tala. It's over."

"What's over?"

Growls. "Everything! No sane alphas would allow another breeding pair in their pack. Tala and I will have to go and raise our pups miles from here! Unless..." Growls louder now, motions for Tala to move away. "Unless I kill you and Danny..."

"Then maybe I'm insane. Besides, I didn't even know you two were going to have pups. You could have been save that much longer. If you choose to challenge me, then so be it. You are my brother. I won't kick you out for having pups. Only if you try to kill mine, Danny, or me." Growls warningly.

Thinks he could kill her... and if he killed them, less competition for his own offspring...

Waits for battle or... no battle.

Growls, then jumps at Poppy without warning, biting her in the same place he bit her before. She cries out, but regains her wits and slashes his forehead right across his eye. Chast reels back in pain, and Poppy stands there, not wanting to kill him. Then he attacks her again, makes to go for her neck but then goes in low and bites on her leg. Poppy snarls and starts to rip at his back, but he won't let go. Tala sees that Chast needs help and sneaks around Poppy, attacking her from the back. Chast let's go and jumps back. Poppy swings around to attack Tala while Chast makes a grab for her tail. While Poppy would be a fair match for either of them one on one, she was in trouble when they worked together.

Jumps just out their reach and looks at Chast. "You don't want to kill me. Deep down you don't. Are you sure of what you are doing?"

Lays down with the pups and and howls for Poppy to come wonderig were she at

Hesitates, looks at Tala. She looks back at him. She isn't a killer by nature, but she will kill for her pups. Chast knew she would follow him in either choice he made. Should he really try to kill Poppy?

(I'll do whatever you guys want. I can let Poppy live and go that way, or I can try to kill Poppy and she escapes, with me and Tala being a new enemy or rival pack.)

(Well, personally, I would like you not to try to kill Poppy, but I could go either way.)
